Pope John Paul II's Studio 38 proudly presents their 2014 spring musical of West Side Story. West Side Story is an American musical with a book by Arthur Laurents, music by Leonard Bernstein, lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, and conception and choreography by Jerome Robbins. It was inspired by William Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet. It takes place in New York City where two gangs, the Jets and the Sharks, feud over territory. In the midst of hostility, a Shark girl and a Jet boy fall in love. Come be a part in watching their love story unfold! With over 200 students involved in the production, West Side Story will be an exhilerating evening for the whole family to enjoy!
